Dance performance for the video I am dancing in my bedroom (a bed is in the background and the blue paintings are on the wall) to the number “Hello, I love you” of the band “Doors”. In this one-shot video I am dancing for two minutes and fourteen seconds – just as long the song lasts. I am wearing the men’s boxer shorts and the T-shirt with an image of Joseph Beuys. The dance is a game. I am playing with the concepts from the world of art and popular culture, on the one hand, and the privacy of life and intimacy, on the other. By dancing, I bring them down to the same level. Performing the dance opens up an intimate aspect into the broader context of the public.
